Halloween this year was awesome! It was a little chilly, so Owen didn't wear his full costume, but he wore most of it down our street for a couple of quick trick or treats with our neighbors. Here he is in the kitchen before I got the rest of his suit on him. Pictures and videos to come!
Owen absolutely LOVES ducks! The first animal noise he could do really well was a, "quack!" Little Quack is his favorite storybook character, too. It was a no-brainer for us when it came to deciding what his costume will be this year.
We walked down our street to our neighbors, the Newmans, first (and last) since they have watched Owen for us so many times. He's really comfortable around their family and especially loves their daughter, Grace. We just happened to get there as Grace and her friends were meeting, so Owen was thrilled! Of course, all the parents took about a million pictures -- and not one of them is on my phone, I'm sorry! Grace was dressed like the Flash, who Owen knows from one of his books. He kept lifting her mask to make sure it was really her underneath.
After the girls headed out to trick-or-treat, we went inside for a drink and ended up hanging out the whole night there. Our other friends/neighbors Natalie and Shawn came by with little Hadley. We had to get pictures of the two together before they headed home.
It's crazy to think that a year ago we were carrying Owen to our neighbors' homes and tonight he walked - well, practically RAN there all on his own. Where is the time going?
